Tooth-Colored Fillings

Bright, Beautiful Teeth in Tuckahoe

Tooth Shade Guide

Identifying and addressing cavities early can prevent the need for more complex and costly dental procedures.

If cavities are found before there has been significant decay, the tooth can be restored with a filling.

Once a tooth has a cavity, the decay will continue to spread unless the decayed area is removed and the tooth is properly restored. Leaving cavities untreated can lead to the need for more significant restorative procedures such as crowns, bridges, root canals, or dental implants.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Even with the best of care and hygiene, sometimes you get a cavity. Our modern diet and lifestyle makes it almost impossible to avoid them. So when it is time to have a cavity filled, don’t settle for uncomfortable, unhealthy, unattractive metal fillings in your tooth. Ask for tooth colored fillings instead.

Dr. Graziano never uses metal fillings in his patients’ teeth. Why? Not only do metal fillings make your teeth look dark and old, they expand and contract with temperature changes, compromising the strength of your teeth. In fact, the openings left by these shifts often allows bacteria to enter, and for cavities and decay to form in the tooth.

Worse yet, these fillings also contain Mercury, a known neurotoxin. While there is a great deal of debate occurring about whether Mercury in a filling is dangerous or not, we consider the fact that many European countries have banned the use of Mercury in fillings reason enough. We won’t risk our patient’s health over a filling when there are alternative options available.

Dr. Graziano’s white fillings are stronger than fillings of the past, and are designed to keep your teeth healthy, whole and natural looking. We think your smile is worth it!
